Laminating is usually something I associate with curve work, or at least making something thicker for sculpting or to get a particular shape out of. However, its worth remembering that if you get a single flat sheet of plywood from the supplier, you’re doing well!
They are often nearly flat, or appear flat until cut and then the inherent stresses begin to show and twist and bow what was reasonably flat into something less ideal.
I can overcome this a few ways, given what I have at my disposal in this workshop, I purposely bought 9mm sheets that I would laminate into 18mm doors, the glued surface having enough strength to essentially hold both sheets flat. Alternatively - I could have put 3 sheets of 6mm together with two glued surfaces and this would be rock solid. But lots more glue for very little extra benefit for this application.
So break out the clamps, get the bench top cleared - its time to throw the glue about and make some doors.
